Here you can find all important information on the requirements for participation in the international courses on “Intercultural Perspectives on Information Literacy and Metaliteracy”. If you want to participate in a course, please contact the Instructors from your university.

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  • It is recommended that you use large screen devices such as tablets, laptops or desktop computers instead of a smartphone.
  • Familiarize yourself with the use of Moodle LMS and BigBlueButton.
  • Test your audio and video settings before each session.
  • Keep your microphone and web camera ready all the time.
  • When you speak, please also activate your camera.
  • The learning environment is corresponding to data protection laws in the European Union and consists of the following elements:
    • Moodle LMS
    • BigBlueButton based video conferences
    • Breakout rooms (for group discussions and activities during plenary sessions)
    • Rooms for individual group work
  • Familiarize yourself with all categories and their content available on the LMS, no later than before the second plenary session.
  • The course is entirely in English, so a strong command of the language is needed.
  • Be prepared to work in groups and contribute equally to tasks.
  • Dedicate enough time to engage with materials, discussions, and assignments.
  • Actively engage with readings and resources, and explore additional sources if needed.
  • Complete all assignments, including self-presentation, final group assignments and reports, on time and upload to Moodle.
  • Participate in feedback sessions to improve your work and learning process, if needed.
  • Attendance at all live sessions is mandatory to maintain consistency in learning.
  • In case of an unavoidable absence, promptly inform your instructors and discuss any necessary arrangements.
  • During course sessions we expect you to restrain from multitasking and being focused on the activities in class.
  • Participate equally in group work, ensuring fair distribution of responsibilities.
  • Respect different viewpoints during discussions and actively contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Uphold academic integrity by avoiding plagiarism and using proper citations.
  • Engage in respectful and authentic communication with peers and instructors.
  • Foster an open-minded and curious approach to intercultural exchanges.
  • Be aware of cultural differences and practice sensitivity in interactions.
  • Address any concerns early to prevent misunderstandings or complications.
  • Be culturally sensitive and inclusive in all interactions, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Provide constructive feedback during discussions to support a positive learning experience.
